Manny Ramirez shoved team traveling secretary Jack McCormick to the ground Saturday in an argument over tickets, the Providence Journal reports.

Ramirez had asked McCormick for 16 tickets for Saturday night's Red Sox-Astros game, which is a high number for a day-of-game request, the Journal reports. When McCormick told Ramirez he might not be able to fulfill the request, Ramirez shouted, "Just do your job!"

Manny apologized for the incident and ESPN is reporting that no disciplinary action will be taken. Although Francona is expected to meet with the media shortly.

Manny,

Take your 20 million a year and hire a freaking secretary to help you plan ahead since you're too dense to think 48 hours or more out, and get your requests done in a reasonable time frame so you don't have to throw a roid-fit on anyone.

When will they finally get it right and start calling it Manny being a douche bag?

when the number of times being violent eclipse the number of times being whimsical?

The title of this thread should be changed to "Manny being Chacon".

Manny throws a team official to the ground, no disciplinary action required. Chacon throws a team official to the ground, and his career is pretty much over. I know they are different situations, but I'd think at least a fine would be in order.

i don't see how the team cannot suspend him for a couple games.

Because he's Manny Ramirez and everyone knows that players on the Red Sox and Yankees can do no wrong. He might even get a raise out of it.

I love Manny Ramirez and hope he is on this Earth forever.

Raw, I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or just happy that he's on your fantasy team.

LOL team secretary vs. General Manager. Is it the same in principle? Yes. But don't confuse the guy who gets your family tickets with the guy who gets you paid.

It's really sad actually... I feel bad for the guy.

Neither actually. I just love his personality. He's a complete jackass and it's hilarious. He's like a more sane, less doped-up version of Mike Tyson.

No kidding. If I push the mail guy to the floor b/c I'm late getting to the mail room and missed the last run, so I have to take the filing to the post office myself - no issue - it's just me being me. But if I tackle my boss, I should be fired.

[i hope the sarcasm is obvious]
