Watching Scott Linebrink pitch makes me so mad as a Brewer fan.

The past few years, the White Sox have pulled way too many players off the scrap heap and made stars out of them. Im not saying, Im just saying.

Like who?

I wouldn't say Linebrink was off the scrap heap either.

Gavin Floyd, Carlos Quentin

Neither (nor Linebrink) were on the scrap heap.

People forget they have a higher payroll than the Cubs.

Maybe Marshall, but I cant see Gallagher going anywhere unless a top of the line starter comes in return.

they'll need to make a decision on which sean stays in the rotation on friday when Z returns. think they'll stick with gallagher over marshall?

i wonder if they'll try sending marshall to the pen again with eyre on the dl. hope not, but i guess it's a possibility.

even though gallagher has done an awesome job I think it might be smart to send gallagher down to maybe help limit his innings for September.

Both under the age of 25 and both regarded as top prospects at one point.

Picking someone off the scrap heap is like signing Todd Wellemeyer after being released and converting him into an All Star caliber starter.

I still would rather have Chris Young.

-Linebrink 2008

-Dye 2005

-Pyrzynskie 2005

-Podsednik 2005

-Quentin 2008(maybe not Quentin, as he could just be getting more of an opportunity)

-Thortnon 2007

Are you unaware that Linebrink has several good season in a row?

And none of the other guys are out of the ordinary.

Your list keeps getting worse.

Basically every team other than the Cubs (besides Edmonds) does it. We all know the Cards are the best at it.

on xm they include reed johnson as a scrap heaper who has done well for the cubs.

Reeds been good for us, but hes basically just been putting up the numbers he did when healthy with Toronto.

The homeplate has corners. This is part of the strike zone.

We're pitching. We don't get "corners."

Dye is the closest thing that I would agree with.

Dye has been pretty amazing this year and in '05. Linebrink was good but not like this. Thornton was garbage, and now suddenly unhittable.
