Why did Lou PH Blanco?

Well he did just make Kosuke look like a fool, but I'm not sure I would have gone with Hank either.

Why did Lou PH Blanco?

He saw what Sherill did to Fukudome, generally the best lefty hitter the Cubs have.

Crappy loss... shake it off and take the next two.

This. I pretty much conceded the game a long time ago anyways. It sucks and it hurts, but if nothing else this team is resilient.

I did to. I was very accepting of it. Id turned it of and was watching VH-1s I Love the New Millenium, and then I turned back to the game at a commercial, and bang, Edmonds 3 run shot. Next thing you know, it was a tough loss to swallow.

This is the most pissed I've been after any loss this year.

Oddly enough, I wasn't even pissed after the Soriano debacle in Pitt.

Blanco is one of the few hitters on that bench that I think I'd go to Z or Marquis to ahead of.

That said, neither was available. Plus, Marquis hits lefty.

Eric Patterson should've been given the chance to redeem himself and if not we could have blamed him for the entire game instead. Now I put the blame on Blanco haha

It's not Blanco's fault he sucks.

It's probably Eric Patterson's fault we lost this game, though.

NO doubt! Those three unearned runs sucked but Wuertz could have pitched better too. Oh well, the Cubs are never really out of it at home.

Okay, I must've missed something during the time I wasn't watching. What'd Patterson do?

Blanco should be used to either give Soto a day off, or replace Soto due to fatigue, injury or whatnot. Blanco should not be your “last chance” to tie or even win a ballgame. Which means, the Cubs should look for another good bat off the bench, so that Blanco shouldn’t be counted on to come through in the clutch.

Called off Theriot on a shallow pop fly and then missed the ball, leading to a handful of unearned runs.

Nice to see that these boys can still remind us that they're the Cubs every so often when we start to forget.

That was a joke. Absolutely pathetic. Load the bases and then don't even make contact with the ball. Disgusting.

Called Theriot off on a flyball and then proceeded to miss the catch leading to a 2 bag error to start the inning they then proceeded to score 3 runs and go up 7-1, otherwise the worst it gets would have probably been 5-1 maybe 6.

Cedeno fouled off the first pitch that was Ball 1 but he likes to swing at pitches of a guy that struggled to hit the zone just two batters earlier against Dero

Sure Patterson and Blanco get some blame but WTH happened to DeRosa, he has been terrible lately. I think it is time to give him a few days off. It is sickening to see him come up and kill rally after rally.

It's Derrek Lee's fault we lost this game. If he would get a clutch hit one of these days.

Like, oh, I dunno, last Friday and Saturday.

Were there two outs when it happened?

How was Saturday a clutch hit? It was the 4th inning.

One other thing about Derosa after Patterson missed that ball if he would've been a quicker he kinda made a lackadazikal tag I think he would've got the runner at 2nd, I don't know how close it was or was it just me that thought Derosa should've still be able to get him if he put a quicker tag down instead of how he did it?
