Wow, quite the story about Lee from WSI.

 

Off topic, but heard an awesome story about D. Lee this week. A friend knows someone with the eye disease that D. Lee's daughter has. The kid with the disease and his dad went to the park and had a sign up by the exit where D. Lee's car exits. He passed by them, stopped, backed up, had them get in the car. They drove to a spot where they talked and D. Lee gave them the name and number of a doctor in a research study in Iowa.

 

They went, and the bill was paid in full by D. Lee.

 

When they tried to thank him, he said that it's partly selfish on his own part because there are only a few thousand people in the country with this disease, so the more people they can study the better, but still.

 

I thought it was pretty incredible.

You can't throw to an unoccupied base. I'm pretty sure that's what got that balk called on Lilly a while back. Lee was in for the bunt and didn't get to the base.
