The officials appartenly "took into account the current state of the Indiana program" when looking at the replay of that elbow.

wait, they used a replay for that? i thought they just missed the call live , and the tv guys were rehashing it.

Nope, they looked at a replay.

 

They did look at a replay but it was the non-HD picture without the benefit of widescreen. When they came back, they explained the refs only had the lo-def picture and the shot they later showed of the elbowing happening was in the area of the picture you could only see in an HD wide screen shot. Bottom line, the refs never saw it.

Feels good to get a win again as ugly as it was. Northwestern forced us into a ton of turnovers like they do with everyone but we shot well enough and played enough defense to pull it out.

 

Coble was non-existent tonight. Gatens shut him down. He decided in and after the IU game he needs to take on a leadership role and it's about time. He's the best player on the team and will be the guy for 3 more years.

 

Tate gave it everything he could but he clearly cannot leap off his bad ankle. I'm clearly a homer but we have at least 2 more Big Ten wins if he had been healthy. Or Tucker.

Ball State lost to the class of the MAC (yeah, not saying much) Kent State 63-56 today. No big surprise. Still leading the West, and we're looking in good shape for a MAC tournament bye if we continue our good play vs the West when the East is done beating up on us.

So I'm not sure why people still think the Big 12 South is better than the North:

Oklahoma 4-0

Texas 1-3

OKlahoma State 1-2

Texas A&M 0-2

Baylor 1-2

Texas Tech 1-2

8-11 total, with Oklahoma obviously carrying the South. Now, hardly dominating, but this theory that the South is dominating the North is completely wrong, with four of the South's victories coming against bottom feeders ISU and Colorado. The rest of the North is 11-3 against the South. Just something that I found interesting.

we're both hustling on defense. the difference is that purdue keeps getting bounces. that mccamey play in the backcourt is a great example.

Purdue really sucks at shooting in general. They can run the offense and get open looks, but they just plain can't shoot.
