Well, way to show up today Mizzou. Oh well, I didn't expect them to win, but I was hoping it would be competitive. Regardless of the loss, at least Mizzou basketball is fun to watch. Hopefully they come out to play on Wednesday.

they will have stopped playing the game by that. i remember that some writer from st louis wrote an article after the last one about how the game doesn't make sense for mizzou, but it was really about 1 thing, the series has been so one-sided that it's pointless for the tigers to go on embarassing themselves. and it's probably just going to get worse.

Sensitive much? I'm sure UI would score at least 35-40. But KU sure wouldn't get much more than 50-60.

 

I fail to understand why people who are fans of other conferences don't realize that scores are low in the B10 because teams play defense, and not because players are inept at putting the ball in the basket.

 

We scored 62 @ MSU when we sucked early in the season. I think we could put 60 up pretty comfortably against UI @ Phog.

 

MSU plays at a way faster pace than we do, and we're getting slower by the day.

John Brown is a famous militant abolitionist who fought in Kansas against pro-slavery Missourians. The rivalry between the two states can be traced back to that time/the "bleeding Kansas" era, so Brown is often used as an anti-missouri icon by KU fans.

i found out recently that missouri has a trophy in their game vs. Iowa State every year. so they got that going for them. which is nice.

 

I assumed this was for basketball, and went to make a laughing post that Missouri hasn't swept Iowa St. since the '98-'99 season. Then I found out it was football, which was kinda disappointing.

 

It is called the Telephone Trophy though, so I can definitely laugh at that.
