If we did, Id give it a big fat meh. Hes not horrible, hes had some decent offensive seasons, but Id be just as happy, if not happier with Hoff. Hasnt Lou been saying sice spring training that he wanted to give Hoff a shot, and as soon as the oportunity came, he would? Well, heres the opportunity.

to replace Hoff at Iowa?

Is he even good enough to play in Iowa? Might need him down in Peoria or something.

He's been as close to horrible as you can get for a 1B. He's got middle infielder numbers - .263/.324/.450. One decent year at age 27, one passable year at 29. Coming off a bad year at 30 and so far as a 31 year old he's been awful. And again, we're talking 1B. His career splits against RHP only aren't even impressive.

The Cubs also adjusted Iowa's roster by activating OF Andres Torres from the disabled list and signed free agent 1B/OF Ben Broussard and assigned him to the I-Cubs. The I-Cubs have a full 24-man roster once again heading into the team's series finale tonight in Memphis.

Minor league filler probably... he did have 3 HRs in the majors with Texas though

My dead grandpa can hit 3 home runs in Texas

Nice to know but all 3 were hit on the road, also all 3 were in the 1st 5 games of the season, but all on the road ;)

I think we all need to just accept the fact that after Reed Johnson and Jimm Edmonds have experienced some success, every time a once decent player is released, Hendry is going to jump on him. Morgan Ensberg, Sidney Ponson, Jeff Weaver: Your tables are ready.
