He's OPSing .951 away from Petco. .338 BABIP is a tad high, but I still think he'd OPS .850-880 in NLC

 

I'm hesitant because his OPS is heavily influenced by his OBP. I'd like to think we could get very good OBP numbers with mediocre power numbers from Murton. Murton probably won't produce as well as Giles this season, but I'm wavering on whether the price we'd have to pay to get Giles would make up for the disparity.

 

I'd love to see Murton get his chance; we all know Lou won't let him see the field if he's called up. It'll be a steady diet of DeRosa/Hoffpauir in LF, Cedeno/Fontenot 2B.

The Incredible Hulk, on the other hand, has piqued my interest.

 

I've heard the early reviews say the Happening is just a horrible movie.

 

I read the spoilers. It sounds horrific.

 

When Dempster's arm explodes in August, Lou better not act like he had no idea why it happened.

The plot has been spoiled on the internet. Do yourself a favor and look it up. I did, and am glad I didn't pay to go see it.

I see no reason for anything but Murton or a Murton/Hoff platoon to be in left field. No need to trade valuable assets to get something new.

 

I agree, but I see no reason for Murton to be a part of it.

 

I think a Murton/Hoff platoon would be wonderful. I'd bet that platoon could put up numbers comparable to Soriano.

Seriously. Individually that aren't near Soriano, but platooning I think they would be close.

 

I think Murton alone could be expected to OPS around .810. I'm not sold on Hoff at all, but I assume Lou would use the two together. Having an ~.800 OPS wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. There still are definitely not going to be black holes in this lineup.

 

And of course an error extends an inning in which Dempster shouldn't be pitching anyway.

Sorry if my point wasn't clear, Murton won't get his chance not because he doesn't deserve it but more so because Lou loves another lefty in the lineup and this lets him put Fuku in the 2 spot and Hoffpauir/Edmonds in the 5 spot.
