I see no reason for anything but Murton or a Murton/Hoff platoon to be in left field. No need to trade valuable assets to get something new.

Yeah, let Murt have his shot.

How's he doing in Iowa?

Doing allright, but about zero power.

Dempster pitching the 9th is much worse than anything that has happened to Marmol this year. Especially since Wuertz hasn't pitched since the Cold War.

Lou wants to remember what a CG looks like.

I agree, but I see no reason for Murton to be a part of it.

I think a Murton/Hoff platoon would be wonderful. I'd bet that platoon could put up numbers comparable to Soriano.

He's OPSing .951 away from Petco. .338 BABIP is a tad high, but I still think he'd OPS .850-880 in NLC

I'm hesitant because his OPS is heavily influenced by his OBP. I'd like to think we could get very good OBP numbers with mediocre power numbers from Murton. Murton probably won't produce as well as Giles this season, but I'm wavering on whether the price we'd have to pay to get Giles would make up for the disparity.

What's the pitch count?

106, or something around there. He's over 100.

What's wrong with you people? "Play Fontenot full time"? "Johnson and Edmonds full time"? How about Cedeno at 2nd and Derosa in left? That would be much better. Actually Cedeno at short and Theriot at 2nd would be better, but that will never happen.

Also, is Lou trying to "Dusty" Dempster? Why leave him in to throw 120 pitches?

I wouldnt be opposed to giving Edmonds center as long as hes playing well, and let Johnson and Hoffpauir platoon in left.

104 I think. Dempster hasn't thrown this many innings in a season in half a decade. This game is well in hand and we have bullpen pitchers who need work, use them and try to keep Dempster from getting a dead arm.

Seems a little strange after Lou just talking about how they wanted to give Dempster some extra rest... If that's the case, why leave him in for a meaningless inning?

The Happening looks like it's going to suck.

The Incredible Hulk, on the other hand, has piqued my interest.

I've heard the early reviews say the Happening is just a horrible movie.

Seriously. Individually that aren't near Soriano, but platooning I think they would be close.
