So it doesn't look good for Soriano? Freakin' great. That's how the baseball gods work I guess. Pujols goes down, so Soriano has to as well.

Soriano isn't our best player. If he is hurt we can still win without him. This team has good depth.

How serious is a broken hand? Not as bad as a broken wrist, right?

He'd be out over a month, definitely.

Didn't Chase Utley only miss like 3 weeks with a broken hand last season?

It doesn't have the same long-lasting consequences after the fact, no.

Obviously losing Soriano sucks, however our team has proven we can win without him, and being that we're playing so well......IF Soriano needs to hit the DL, he'll get rest and be fresher for the end of the season playoff push.

A fastball in the back of a Braves player is order, I'd say.

No. I'd rather not see Dempster get in trouble. Save it for later in the game when Wuertz is pitching or something. Drill fat McCann in his back.

That's what Kevin Hart is for.

Lou looks not pleased in the dugout. I can't imagine he's optimistic about Soriano. Neither am I.

I bet it's broken.

of course YOU do.

It's a fastball right off the hand that is clutching a bat. That most likely will result in a broken bone from what I've seen. Just being honest.

This is when we need Farnsworth. Of course, it's the only time you need Farnsworth.

I'm serious, drill whoever is up first for the Braves. We need to let teams know that we're not going to tolerate this crap. I don't care if it was intentional or not.

We're not going to tolerate accidents?

Who say's it was an accident?

No warnings? What a joke.

I really doubt that was intentional

Do they intentionally like to hurt our players. Giles flipping Prior was the beginning of the end.

They issued a warning yesterday because Lilly threw over McCann.

Weren't the Braves targeting Soriano last year?

I don't think he was intentionally hit. Soriano wouldn't have been hit at all if he hadn't thrown his hand up and towards the plate as he was turning away. It wasn't even close to his face until it bounced off his hand.

Hoffpauir was coming up anyway, this just gives a reprieve to whoever they wanted to send down I'm imagining.

I don't think it was intentional. There wasn't any reason for it in that situation.

I see all the resident NSBB medical experts have declared it a broken hand. Who knows... It did look like more of a glancing blow and then ricochet up to the neck.

Just have to wait and see.

It was an 0-2 pitch to a free swinging slugger. I am pretty sure it was an accident.

I'm not sure how much this has been talked about, but it's interesting. Soriano was more or less an iron man before coming to the Cubs. He hasn't been able to stay healthy since.

Watching the play for one, but Mizzou said he didn't care if it was intentional or not, meaning we're beaning people if it was an accident.
