Soto double clutched.

The Dodgers batter was leaning across the plate, but instead of throwing into him and getting the interference, Soto just double-clutches.

Little things...

Doesn't matter... Cousins wouldn't have called it anyway

Maybe the humiliation of being no hit by a pitcher whose struggled against everyone but them this season it what this team needs to get fired up.

Remember last season when The Brewers bats were cold as ice last year, and got no hit by Verlander, and then started another hot streak the next game?

I think the team has been playing fine. Have we been so spoiled this season that a little two or three game lull will make people start to question the team's fire?

Lou needs to flip out.

Tomorrow was my pick for Lou's first ejection

I hate, hate, hate free baserunners early in games.

Piniella just said he has no faith in the Cubs' offense.

Today, neither do I. We've reverted back to Dustyball... swing at everything, and watch the entire offense completely shut down.

If you're a manager closely looking at Z's pitch count today, do you sort of discount the 4 from the intentional walk?

I would. That's playing catch, pretty much.

Probably. About as much effort as a routine pickoff throw to 1B.

The Cubs are hardly swinging at everything, which is the reason Lowe is falling behind a good percentage of the hitters. They just haven't gotten good swings when they have had a pitch to hit, and they probably are swinging at too many pitcher's strikes when they're up 1-0 and 2-0 in the count.
