Gosh darnit, 7 game win streak was nice.

Why can't we have nice things?

Oh and great the Cardinals are losing so we can't possibly gain any ground today, good job everyone

They're only down 1 in the 8th. You know full well that Ryan Ludwick or Skip Schumaker or one of the other Superscrubs is going to homer for them in the 9th and make us all even more sad.

We've won 7 in a row and are 15 games over so it kind of seems obnoxious to complain, but a loss tonight would not be good. Considering we'll be playing on the road most of this month and people have been questioning our ability to win away from Wrigley it's not good to lose the first game of the road trip against a crappy pitcher on a crappy team with our ace on the mound.

Yeah, there goes the idea of giving Zambrano a shorter start today, unless he implodes in the middle of an inning. He's already up to 30 pitches. The bullpen could've used a rest today.

with our ace on the mound.

Who threw 130 pitches in his last outing. There's a demonstrable correlation between high pitch count in game A and poor performance in game B.

Just sayin.
