btw, I don't remember who, but someone predicted, heading into the Pads series that Sori would heat up and hit like 3 hrs.

Props to you, mystery person.

I think it was Jim Sorgi

Seriously what happened to McClotuh, Jake? Some kind of lab experiment?

Dave Littelfield was fired.

I get the average, but firing Littlefield allowed him to hit homers at a Derrek Lee pace?

Damn.

What's Gallagher's velocity at?

Gameday has his fastball at 92-94. I haven't been looking at WGN's speeds, though.

I think you guys are selling DeRosa short wanting him to go to the bench.

Who is selling DeRosa short? Just because there is a better option for more at bats does not mean the alternative is being sold short.

A lot of people envisioned Murton as our starting LF for many years, but when Soriano was signed, they were happy to upgrade. That did not mean that they felt that Murton was automatically a bad player, just that there was a better option.

I'll say it -- DeRosa's a much better bet to stay close to his 810 OPS than Theriot is to stay near his 816. I'll take Cedeno+DeRosa over any combination involving Theriot any day

What's Gallagher's velocity at?

He's locating some nice breaking balls 73-82, haven't noticed any FB speeds (and it's been mostly off-speed)

94 on that last pitch (and I thought that was going out)

Firing Littelfield let him play, which led to the HRs..

Seriously? I expected about 20 - 25 from him this year. Not 40.

No idea.

Besides, ARam, DLee, Sori, and Fuku all needs days off. DeRo is perfect for that role, no?

Derosa said himself that he expects to be starting everyday (his WCSR morning interview earlier this week). He didn't understand why Lou benched him the last time.

That was closer to a HR there. Making me a little nervous with the FO's Sean... Still, I'll take it.

Really, did he show signs of hitting 25 a year while playing in the minors? I just remember knowing he always put up good minor league avg. and secondary avg. numbers, but never remember hearing or reading he would devleop into Grady Sizemore. Now with McCutheon on the way you guys have a nice problem to have.
