An Edmonds HR is nice, I could get used to that. Edmonds leaving 4 of the Cubs 9 stranded runners on base . . . not so much.

Yeah I know, right. Reed Johnson would NEVER leave 4 men on base!

How many times did Reed Johnson bat 6th?

Because I'm sure Edmonds demanded that Lou bat him 6th. Seriously, it just sounds like everyone is taking their problems with Lou's stupidity out on Edmonds. And quite frankly, it's rather annoying.

I love the new Cedeno.

Cedeno walks.

I weep at how good this team might be if they weren't constantly trying to avoid playing their best players.

It's really hard to say that when Theriot is doing what he's doing.

Even if Cedeno were playing up to this point, I fail to see how he could be doing much better than Theriot has.

I'd rather play Cedeno, but at this point there's no way you can really say we'd be doing much better with him playing.

Cedeno looks amazing..........why....PLEASE START HIM LOU WTF

I love Cedeno as much as anyone. And I REALLY want him to play. But it's hard to bench Theriot with how he's been playing so far this year. That won't last and I expect Ronny to be the everyday shortstop by the end of the year.

Include baserunning and defense, I think it's close.

Doesn't matter. Edmonds starts with 2 strikes on him in most Cub fans minds.

Actually only one strike with me, but his first AB was great, even if he were to get out. Took 5 pitches . . . nice. Second AB not so much a 1 pitch into a DP - however, he could be pressing in his debute. 3rd AB meh, 2 pitches, found his and hit it well, maybe the wind kept it in and I can't complain. We will see.

I just hate DPs and leaving runners weather it is Edmonds, Pie or DLee. Little patience, but I couldn't do better except on the XBox.

Ronny must have really swore off the booze and chicks this time.

He needs to become Pie's mentor.

Pretty much..A friend of mine met Pie at a bar downtown and got a pic with him..Who knows, that could be the problem,Just like Cedeno, young baseball players in a town full of women and alcohol..

I won't deny there's biases...there absolutely are...but here's the problems:

1) Edmonds is not better than Reed Johnson or Felix Pie.

2) Hendry and Piniella are treating him like he is.

3) Admittedly extremely small sample size, but Edmonds is on his way to proving #1 is true.

I think Hendry and Piniella get their share of the blame.
