Any thoughts of Marmol for 2 today and the save? I don't know if I like Wood vs. Young, Jackson, Upton.

Except for the insane uproar that would cause with the media and fans, perhaps.

Stupid media and fans. You have to stop using Marmol in blowouts so that he can be used in situations like that.

I still like Mark Grace.

I always did. I was rooting for him to get his ring in 2001 and was happy that he finally did.

Yeah, but he was the one were I finally got frustrated. I am tired of Cubs having to go other places to get rings.

This reminds me of Todd Walker's game in 2004 against Houston when he needed a double for the cycle going into his last AB and hit one a couple of feet too high instead for a home run. In Houston.

I thought that was the game where he needed a double for the cycle and had a well-hit ball to RF, but it bounced like 6 inches foul?

And one or 2 pitches before that he hit a liner down the line that landed inches foul. I'm pretty sure that was the Clemens vs Prior game and part of the 4 game sweep at Houston. I remember things looked really good at that point.

Ha, I remember that.

Was that the same series (same game, maybe?) as the Prior vs. Clemens matchup?

It was. He ended up homering later in the AB.

Was that also a game he posed for a picture after he caught the last out in left field?

Same game. Prior went 5 scoreless and we crushed Clemens for 5 runs in 6.
