Hope this is ok with the mods but I felt this thread needs revived. Lets keep the other crap outta here, and keep this one for expressing our appreciation for Mr 10million Eric Gagne.

Oh Gagne blew another one today :-"

The division might be won or lost based on which closer is the least bad. Why isn't he still taking HGH?

I guess we just won then. There is no comparing Gagne to Wood this year. Do you really think Wood will be bad?

Over/under on when El Caballo comes in this thread complaining about umps and Gagne getting squeezed? I say 2 hours.

Over.

He was getting squeezed.

I really don't care tho right now, ever since YoGa went down im just depressed.

We can say the Cards are playing over there heads, but at least they have a closer that doesn't make you want to pull your hair out every time he pitches.

Well So has Gag-Me, Wood and Velverde. So I guess it pays to play in the Central.

Those pitches had been called balls all day.

I wasnt watching all day, I had a bad night last night and I was sleeping on and off. It just is funny to mean that a team that is the worst in taking walks(i think), all of a sudden starts walking like crazy in the 9th. Its just frustrating I guess.

Well, one of the reasons they hadn't walked earlier is that Sheets was back to throwing strikes.

I do think the Astros were taking a lot of pitches, but that seems to be the scouting report on Gagne. He's tough to hit when throwing strikes and getting ahead, it's just he doesn't do that consistently. I think the Astros were taking and Gagne was missing a lot...especially high. And while a lot of the pitches were just above the belt or just off the plate, they were balls.

Yeah that does make sense. And one walk for Gagne and its like a bomb exploding (very Turnbow like). :banghead:

You would think the one day Sheets gets a hit we would win...

My Opinions of Gagne:

1) Last night he was getting squeezed bigtime. There was also a play at first that cost the Brewers an out. Blue had an off day yesterday in Houston.

2) Gagne is a headcase that struggles when something doesn't go his way.

3) The amount of money he is making should not matter. I don't pay it nor does anyone else here. Tha fact that people here in Milwaukee bash him because he makes a lot of money is dumb. Bash him because he has a hrad time making adjustments to the strike zone.

4) Gagne is not Coco nor is he as reliable. Get over it people in Brewerland.

5) The Brewers pen is a lot better this year even with Gagne over Cordero as their closer.

6) Closers are dumb. If I had my druthers about me, we would go with the hot hand everyday and use Gagne when we need him regardless of the situation.

Gagne clearly lets out a couple f-bombs if you watch the highlight of Luwick's go ahead hit on MLB.com. Good stuff.

Dude, Gagne is still good guys. I have been saying this all year. I have been defending him all year. Until he does somethign really bad, I will still defend him

Do you attend Brewers games? Have their ticket prices been raised yet? Fans do pay for big contracts.
