Selective modding? Please call abuck on it everytime he's sarcastic too? Or does he get a pass? Sorry TT, I've never had any problem with you, but the selective favoritism by mods on who gets to be sarcastic and who doesn't is ridiculous.
HUH? He gave a ratonal response to Soul's

As for "selective moderating", the mods do what they can, but it's difficult to moderate every post. If you think someone is out of line, report the post. And also understand that not all modding is done in a public avenue. Not all warnings, suspensions, bannings, etc. are made public.

Fair enough. But is posting "shocking" really "railing" on a poster? It's pretty harmless when compared to a lot of contentious arguments on here. That's all I'm saying. I thought it was pretty benign. I guess you can respond and then we can carry this to PM's if I feel like I need to.question. How is that "callng him out" or "selective moderating"? Do tell.

I was referring to his post to me, not the post I quoted.

All I said was "shocking". It wasn't a personal attack and I got called out on sarcasm, when NSBB favorites get to be sarcastic all the time. Sorry, it just irritated me.

I made the comment because it was the second consecutive thread I clicked on where you did nothing but but rail on a poster for supposedly being irrational without contributing at all. If your response is "what about this guy?", then you probably know that my comment wasn't off base.

I mean what's the difference between that posting, and the posting of Wood as a sham closer. Both are directed with sarcasm to a certain poster (even if that thread is now locked, the "sham" approach is/was still used and will be when he returns...

Neither are mean spirited...

Budhouse is no longer posts here because of that approach, regardless of whether you believe it was mean-spirited. Since that thread was locked, it's not the best example for you to cite. TT requested you not resort to sarcastic comments that don't contribute to the discussion. If you have a problem with that request, take it up with 1908 or Tim.

If you prefer to receive official warnings in the future, we'll be happy to oblige.

Nope, none needed, though if I were to send you a link to every single sarcastic comment made on this site, I wouldn't have time to post.

I got nothing to complain about with his management this series, other than perhaps keeping Dempster out there for 110+ pitches yesterday.

Not a huge deal, he's shown he can handle it.

how did eyre look? obviously the boxscore was not attractive

marshall let at least one inherited runner score, which didn't help the box score

Nothing to write home about. He got some favorable calls against Prince, which led to Prince getting himself ejected after the out. But, I did like the way he matched up against Prince, which was probably his best work of that outing.

Is there a "Bullpen for Dummies" book out there?

Not for you, for whatshisface who always bitches about us bitching about Lou:

-Every super hero has one weakness, Lou's is the proper use of a bullpen.

I posted this in the game thread circa the Howry meltdown -

Wow, the "Lou Piniella - what the hell are you thinking?" thread will be lots of fun today.

I was honestly hoping for more fireworks here. I guess the tone is muted because the Cubs won. Oh well.

Lou is an idiot.

Nah. He's not.

When it comes to how to manage a bullpen, yes he is.

That's not what he said though.

Yea the Cubs winning, and the board going down probably had an effect on the tone.

I'm not gonna bitch and moan about it too much, but he should probably stop using Howry like ever

I don't know how many times Howry has to blow a lead for this to be drilled into his head

If Piniella's affinity for using Howry in tight spots hasn't changed by now I don't really think there's anything that Howry can do to make it change.

He stuck with him after a tough first couple of months last year. And he was rewarded for that with an amazing final 4 months. I guess I am not surprised by this. Contrast Howry with Eyre. Someone with a great work ethic who keeps himself in terrific shape and has the "workman" approach versus someone who, at least on reputation, has the opposite. I'm not supporting the line of thought, just highlighting the perceived differences.

can't believe that move didn't pay off. ronny cedeno is pretty much a guarantee to get at least one run in, what with his solid approach and great contact skills.
