Funny how it seems like 88% of the time, when you see a play like Reed Johnson's end an inning then he doesn't lead off the next one.

Actually it seems more like 89%.

Can someone describe the play for those of us that cant watch the game :(

He ran about half a football field and then dove at about a 45 degree angle backwards on the track, almost full extension. I'm not sure how he didn't jam his neck into the fence and break it he was so close to the fence.

Reed Johnson, going back towards the left center field wall on the dead run, dove and made an impossible backhanded catch of a ball on the full extension, then slid and did a header into the [padded] wall and had the brim of his cap turned inside out.

High deep drive to left-center, hung in the air forever, Reed Johnson got an unholy jump on it that bordered on prescience and made a diving catch on a dead run, sliding into the wall headfirst after the dive.

The whole bullpen had a great view of that and Kerry was like "Wow." I think the rest of them stood up and clapped.

I'd say he earned some teammates respect with that one
