George Brett quote on Ryne Sandberg

I'm hoping someone can help me out. Looking for a quote, having no luck googling it. The story goes like this: Brett's being interviewed by a reporter after an away game, and they asked what he was going to do that night. He said he was going back to his hotel, and when pressed further he said he was going to watch the Cubs game because he always watched Ryne Sandberg play.

 

If anyone can give me a link with the exact quote/story, it would be much appreciated!

Thanks, really appreciate it. I even googled the exact quote (which is how I remembered it) and found nothing but my own use of the quote on the OOTP baseball game forums. Since I couldn't find the reference anywhere else, I was beginning to believe I made it all up while in some sort of delusional state.

The minor leagues are supposed to be about the young kids. Helping the kids become major leaguers. He's only out for himself, just like he always was. All he ever cared about was winning - winning - winning.

 

A real LOSER off-the-field too. No wonder he's headed for a second DIVORCE. LOUSY family man.

 

The Hall of Fame does not make you a good person. He let it go to his head. I hope to GOD he never ever manages the CUBS. I'll become a Whie Sox fan.
