It's comical that Sean Marshall is actually being counted on to protect this tie.

You could have given him a beter chance if he started the inning off

Yeah, if you come in with first and third no one out your gonna allow a run 9.5 times out of 10

Our win probability just got better?

We got an out, a DP is now a possibility, there is no longer a runner on third, etc.

Why does it seem like we lose every game we play against the Phillies? They definitely have our number.

Our win probability just got better?

The chance of them scoring multiple runs after the runner on 3rd scored and they got an out decreased dramatically

So yeah, it makes sense

I don't know what it is about the Phillies. I'm not saying that they aren't good, but c'mon this is ridiculous.

They seem to always beat us when they suck too

Of course Milwaukee is winning 8-6 and about to take 2/3 from the Mets in NY.

Our whole team (offense, defense pitching) has underperformed this weekend.

why not bring in marmol over marshall here?

HE'S OUR 8TH INNING GUY!

Yeah, I never understand the clamoring to bring in Marmol in the 6th. Yes, he could get the Cobs out of this, but then who pitches in the 8th? Want Wuertz to blow then? The Cobs could still score and then Marmol will be needed later.

Well, not bad marshall.

Got away with a couple of mistakes.

Oh, did he? Im not watching just listening.

All I knew is he came in with runners at the corners and nobody out facing Utley and Howard...and he left with 2 outs only giving up 1 run.

No matter what we do this game feels like a loss.

I doubt if we came back to win you'd feel that way. C'mon, we're in the bullpen already for them. As long as we get Burrell here, we have a decent shot.

Except he is in now. Stupid Cubs

Why did we just bring in Marmol?

Why not? We did this last year too. He'll get the last out here and pitch the 7th. Sure I'd like to save him for the next time we face the 3-4-5 hitters, but A) the next time might be the 9th inning, and B) who would you honestly want here? Howry and his flat fastballs vs. Burrell?

Agreed. The game is on the line right here.

HE'S OUR 8TH INNING GUY!

That's not how he was used last year and I'd rather have our best pitcher in that situation than Sean Marshall.`

why not just continue with Marshall?
