See, Ronny? THAT'S how you're supposed to catch a baseball.

Take a bad route on it and fall as you catch it?

It's worked for Jim Edmonds all these years.

The end result was he caught the baseball. Cedeno didn't. That's what I was getting at.

Man I get scared anytime there is a runner on for the big 3. Kinda like how I get scared anytime there is a runner on in front of the Cubs big 3, but I'm mostly scared they are going to hit into a double play.

Bad route? He was running in a straight line the entire time.

Fun game:

Take a player you think of as fundamentally sound. A vet.

Tell yourself that he always makes mistakes and then start watching for them.

Bet you notice a lot.

if you're suggesting that a player like kosuke will make about as many fundamental mistakes as ronny cedeno given the same playing time, you're going to be wrong. very wrong.

Kinda weird, I remember Len and Bob saying that Utley doesn't strike out very much at all, yet hes struck out 3 times in like 6 ABs this series.

He didn't get an immediate break on the ball.

he strikes out plenty. not compared to ryan howard, but he'll whiff over 100 times in a year. he also hits for a good average, walks a bunch and hits for power.
