He's not the best (or close to it) but he's the best we got and we support him because he gives everything he's got every second of every game.

I want to win too and with our roster right now Theriot is the best we got which is why I started this thread. Theriot isn't a great player by any stretch but he's our best option.

Way to be irrational. When you guys decide to pick on you guy you pour it on. He can do nothing right in your mind. You refuse to appreciate a guy who plays hard everyday because he isn't the best player. Pretty stupid to me. No one has said he is a great player or even good. Now you're just making things up. How did he make stupid mistakes? How was he lazy? Wasn't Theriot the one who sat at home all winter while Cedeno played winter ball and tried to improve?

No because you suck at baseball (I'm assuming) and wouldn't be our best option. Way to be irrational once again. We are talking about guys in the MLB not a fan on a message board. Is it bad to apprecaite guys who play hard and are down to Earth? I would hope your answer would be no. If so then why are you agruing. You are acting like I've said Theriot is a good player. He's an average player but plays hard every second unlike a good portion of players and isn't full of himself.

I didn't like him but I didn't hate him either. I had a predisposed opinion of him because I remember his four straight 30+ HR seasons with Milwaukee. Plus he didn't play to his potential. He batted like .290 with 100+ RBIs and 30+ the year before we got him.

Cedeno. I know he's not white or gritty enough, but he's still no worse than Theriot.
