I'm going to agree with the others who have said Todd Hundley. It doesn't matter how long he's been gone. He's always going to be the most-hated Cub to me.

I forget, because Delino played 2B/SS. Unless you mean somebody I don't follow.

And I'm not sure what Simon did to deserve disdain. I actually quite liked him. Cliff/Pagan I'm not sure about either, although neither were very good, so I suppose that could be the only reason.

i guess if i were putting together my list of most hated cubs per position, it'd go...

C Todd Hundley

1B Fred McGriff - not many to choose from at this position, but the whole making up his mind about the trade thing pissed me off. you were in baseball hell and got a chance to go to a competitive team with great fans. not a tough choice.

2B Neifi Perez (putting him here so that I can put, at SS, ...)

SS Jeff Blauser

3B Steve Buechele

LF Moises Alou (he was pretty good, but the constant first-pitch GIDP really pissed me off. as did his three worst OPS+ years in like a decade coming with the cubs)

CF Juan Pierre. what a bum.

RF Jerome Walton (thanks for getting our hopes up, jerk)

SP Shawn Estes

SP Danny Jackson

SP Jose Guzman

SP Shawn Boskie

SP Micah Bowie

RP Latroy Hawkins

RP Kyle Farnsworth

RP Mel Rojas

RP Scott Eyre

RP Bob Patterson

I'm behind this whole list - except here. I loved the Farns. And yes, it's mostly because he threw really hard and punched someone in the face. Immature or not, that was awesome.

I vote you replace him with Felix Heredia. God I hated him so much.

five tool man as reported by way too many here at NSBB and the media. HA!!

say what?

It's bad, i'm actually able to decipher this one.

"I vote for the person who was reported as the "Five tool man" by way to many folks here at NSBB and in the Media. HA!!"

Maybe my Yanr-decoder is just kicking back in.

I'm with you on this but if you're going to pick relief pitchers, I'm going with Mel Rojas and Dave Smith

i didn't like him because he had a ton of talent and generally all he did with it was get drunk and get in fights.

Why?

1) for contributing to the mediocrity (in the best of times) of the Cubs

2) for teasing JH w/ the BRob trade, thus leading to the monstrosity that is the "every topic under the sun" thread in Transactions (which started ostensibly as the Roberts trade thread)
