I would love it if Michigan State pulled the upset today.

I'm not too surprised Davidson won. They beat Georgetown, who, in a lot of ways, is just a superior Wisconsin. Plus, Curry was the best player on the floor. However, I'm stunned they dismantled the Badgers like that. Two straight tournament losses to 10-seeds for Wisconsin.

If Kansas makes the Final Four, they will have beaten a 16, 8, 12 and 10 (obviously Davidson isn't a typical 10). Perhaps, seed-wise, the easiest path ever (off the top of my head).

Curry is absurd. Great player. I wish IU would've used Gordon similarly; Davidson does a good job of getting Curry open, Gordon had to get his points all on his own. Oh well.

UNLV was a No. 7 last year.

After all that's gone right in my bracket for the first 5 1/2 days, Texas just goes off and that's it. I stupidly had the Cardinal in the title game and now I'm done.

Not that stupid to have the Cardinals in the title game. I did it too.

Cardinal.

maybe he meant Louisville ;)

No he picked Luhiville to lose already, despite being a supposed Big East fan :-k .

I did some browsing of old tournament brackets and found two instances where a team had, at least according to seed, an easier path than Kansas would this year (assuming they win today).

2001: No. 1 Michigan State beat the No. 16, No. 9, No. 12, and No. 11 seeds.

1991: No. 1 UNC beat the No. 16, No. 9, No. 12, and No. 10 seeds.

There were also a couple of other No. 1 seeds who had easy paths as well:

1993: No. 1 Michigan beat the No. 16, No. 9, No. 12 and No. 7 seeds.

1986: No. 1 Duke beat the No. 16, No. 8, No. 12 and No. 7 seeds.

As far as non-No. 1 seeds, here were the easiest paths I found:

2004: No. 2 UConn beat the No. 15, No. 7, No. 6 and No. 8 seeds.

2002: No. 5 Indiana beat the No. 12, No. 13, No. 1 and No. 10 seeds.

1994: No. 3 Florida beat the No. 14, No. 11, No. 2 and No. 9 seeds.

1990: No. 4 Arkansas beat the No. 13, No. 12, No. 8 and No. 10 seeds.

Obviously 2002 Indiana and 1994 Florida had slightly harder paths because they beat a No. 1 and No. 2 seed, respectively, but the other three games were all fairly easy as they each beat three teams seeded No. 9 or higher.

It'd be cool if Nova could just keep it close, so I felt like I was watching a real game. Unfortunately, kansas is going to win by 40.

Yeah hopefully we get a close game today (MSU-Memphis maybe?).

Oh my god I just puked. I can't believe that's a commercial.

missed it was watching entourage during commercial's.

Just a commercial featuring Tyus Edney's drive for the win against Mizzou in the 1995 NCAA Tourney. As a Mizzou fan it hurts.

If it makes you feel better Cubbies, I like the Tate George version of that ad much better.

I think they need more of those though. Bryce Drew, Ty Rogers, that dude from NW State, Danny Ainge (barf) for starters.

Yeah, my bad. I just picked a 10-seed to beat them last year (couldn't decide between UNLV and Georgia Tech; should've gone with the coaching).

Nice research above, thanks. Knew there couldn't have been many easier seed paths.

Also, my bad on saying MSU had a good chance. They are getting dominated and look awful

I doubt many people thought Michigan State would be down 24 in the first half.

EDIT: And now it's 30. This is ridiculous. Thanks for nothing Michigan State. And by nothing, I mean beating Pitt. Jerks.

It's not a good sign when you score 17 straight points and you still trail by 17. Either way, Michigan State is doing it's best to make this a game.
