I agree 110%. We need to ship Takatsu out and send his Japanese friend Fukudome with him. It's clear they don't know what it takes to win here in America. They need to get rid of all the bad apples before the season starts. If you don't have the winning attitude you need to go.

I know that in Spring Training, individual player peformances are more important than the win/loss column, but I have to admit, as meaningless as it is, its still frusterating to see so many games that the Cubs have the lead going into the 8th or 9th before blowing it. I know its usually blown by some guy who was never ecpected to start the season above Peoria, but still.

Believe me I know my baseball and I know the purpose of spring training but what's wrong with wanting to win? What I can't believe is, how ruthless you guys are, when you disagree with someone. What's wrong with showing someone a little brotherly love? Does anyone really on this board think that Takatsu is going to make the team? If I remember correctly, Takatsu didn't impress anyone, the last time he pitched. And I do remember how everyone trashed the Shinjo signing, so what's the big deal? Release him, and allow someone else to get more innings.

I don't think any of us really believe that Takatsu will make the team so that's probably why most aren't upset that he blew the save. Sure I prefer winning to losing, but by the middle of April I will have forgotten entirely what the Cubs ST record is much less that Takatsu blew the lead in a split squad game to the A's.
