I bring this up every year, but no one wants him.

Put him in Left, move Soriano to Right, put Fukudome in Center. Powers up the offense for the year.

Or simply not worth the hassle with the court case coming up?

Soriano in CF and Fukudome in RF might be slightly less unrealistic, considering the fact that playing RF was a key factor in Fukudome's decision to come here and that Soriano played CF well enough last year.

Just for fun... lineup would be

Soriano, Fukudome, Lee, Bonds, Aramis, DeRosa, Soto, Theriot

Yea, I could live with that.

I'm down. At this point, who gives a damn? Although it would probably have to be Soriano moving to center rather than Fukudome.

Let's sign Clemens in June also. He can take over for Marquis/Dempster.

Hell, I would sign Hitler to play SS if he had more game than Theriot.

We haven't won a WS in 100 years, I don't care who we have to hire or pay to make it happen. Seriously. If we fielded a team of roid taking, wife beating alcoholics and won the WS, I would still buy thousands of dollars in merchandise and not feel bad about it.

I think I'd feel a little uneasy if Hitler were on the team

Although agent Jeff Borris wasn't willing to say who might be interested in him, free agent Barry Bonds is not yet considering retirement.

"He is unequivocally not retiring," Borris told FOXSports.com. There's been no indication that anyone is interested in adding Bonds, even though he's still clearly one of the top-five hitters in baseball. The Mariners could be considered the favorites in the AL West if they added him as a DH and Erik Bedard to their rotation, but there's no way they'd do it. The rest of the AL contenders are pretty well set at DH, though the Indians could use him as a left fielder. His best hope is that the Padres come calling.

I'm for it. He will be well worth whatever contract he ends up getting this year. I wish the Cubs had the balls to do something like getting Bonds, but unfortunately they don't.

So would Marquis

I think Larry Rothschild, might have a fit.

Might be pals with Fukudome though

Steve Stone would never come back.

I don't think Bonds' ego is going to allow him to take as small of a contract as teams are going to offer him. He thinks he's worth much more than he actually is.

No, he's worth that. Teams just wont pay it.

He was worth that.

I find myself very much at odds with the philosophy that we should be concerned with winning at all costs. Some of us take our kids to see these games. That is the large part of the appeal to baseball. It is something that you can share with your son or daughter. While it is wrong of us to expect these players to be more than human, I would like them to set examples of fair play and good behavior. What those standards of behavior are will probably never be entirely clear, but they should exist. Hitler would be worth the price of winning??? That is just plain wrong.
