Mentioned he's comfortable with with DeRosa anywhere except CF and Catcher, and said when he had to play 3rd he played it as good as anyone in the NL.

Was that Lou or Jim? If it was Lou, the lack of mentioning SS as something he's uncomfortable with is a good starting indication that he might try him there eventually.

I was glad to hear that Hendry, at least inquired about Santana, but was told that Santana wanted to go to a East coast team, and play on a team that trained in Florida (close to his home). At least the Cubs tried. That made me feel a lot better. If Santana has no interest in coming here, there's nothing we can do about that. His loss. Whether we win a WS or not this year, Santana will miss out greatly, for not having the opportunity to play in Chicago.

Hey somebody tell me what's the deal with hendry's mannerisms? He reminded me of a turtle, always cocking his head and jerking it from side to side. It was funny to watch. I mean, he doesn't have a mild form of tourret syndrome (sp.) does he? if he did, in that case it wouldn't be funny. Maybe all it is, is that he wears his shirt collar too tight. I don't know but it was unpleasant to look at.

Yeah, that twitching wasn't normal. I know someone who has something like that, it's definately some mild condition and not a nervous thing if you ask me. I could be wrong though.

You know, I remember seeing an interview with him last year, from time to time and I noticed he twitched back then but I didn't think anything of it...but man on CTL, it was so constant. It was a very annoying thing to watch.

no matter how much we think otherwise, jim hendry sees ryan theriot as a competent shortstop and probably our long-term solution at that position.

](*,) "Stats dont say everything and some of the best hitters in baseball dont have a good OBP, you have to look at other things that stats dont show, like who drives in runs in the 7th 8th and 9th inning. That guy comes up and hits a sac fly it doesnt show in OBP". ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Wow, Overreact some? Everything in this sentence is factual

Now pitching for the Cubs, #7, Mark DeRosa.

Yea except the part where using situational based hitting as a reason to sign or not sign somebody is a good idea. On a list of 100 of reasons to sign or not sign somebody, situational based hitting should be listed at about 1000.

Don't let Lou off the hook on this one. Obviously, if Lou wasn't satisfied with Theriot, he would tell Hendry he needs a SS. As for the comment about not trading DeRosa, I guess that shoots down the DeRosa + Dempster for Burnett rumors.

Hendry sure does like Sam Fuld. That or he's publicly trying to talk him up in hopes of causing others to think that Fuld is closer to Pie's level than he truly is. I'm hoping it's the latter.

No, that is incorrect.

just because you see an implication in the statements, taken at face value, everything said is a fact.

If that quote was said by somebody who wasn't a stone age old baseball man, you could overlook it. Instead it's just another fingers in my ears, I'm not listening quote from Hendry when it comes to caring about anything besides how good a track and field star his players are.

It's a fact that you have to look at who drives in runs in the 7th, 8th, and 9th innings?

Unfortunately if you are Jim Hendry, yes that is a fact.

What was the burnitz quote? Like that he was one of the best RBI guys in baseball who strikes out over 100 times or something like that.
