Heard a Rumor: Cubs Interested in Crisp

I don't think he'd be a good influence on Pie as he'd want to play 150 games or so but I'm sure his injuries would reduce that to 110 or less.

No, that's not what I'm referring to. Crisp has said he wants to play and he isn't interested in platooning.

No, that's not what I'm referring to. Crisp has said he wants to play and he isn't interested in platooning.

 

right. i don't think he's a bad guy, just saying that a guy who is demanding a trade because he wants to start isn't likely to be a great addition to a team that doesn't intend to start him

i have nothing to really add to this thread except to say that i didn't know those two were gone and i will miss them...especially meph...he had a certain charm

Ugh. Crisp hasn't been worth a damn except for 2004-2005... and he wasn't even very good then.

 

I'd have no trouble giving up Marquis and Fuld to use Crisp as a platoon CF and bat off the bench. But if he wouldn't be happy with that role, we shouldn't be in any hurry to acquire him.
