It's some BS that you all are trashing the kid, the only one that looks like an ass out of all of this is you not him.

I liked what he had to say, he was abrasive at times as he was on the defensive all the time b/c of some narrowminded gangbang mentally on this board.

Same thing with DueceBaseman, I disagreed with he had to say and thought he was attacking people who disagreed with him that was unnec., but this arrogant know it attitude is something to be seen for those who have a differing viewpoint.

Same thing with Baseball7897, I know his coach at Kish, that kid busts his ass and for someone who doesn't know him or seen him pitch to make some smart-ass comment that is truly some BS.

my scout sources said maybe this offseason he can get his fastball up to 83 mph!

Unless you two want some time off, I'd suggest you two stop being jack asses and drop it.

He went way, way, way out of his way to make fun of Vance's 2-year old daughter. He deserves whatever is said about him. (especially since he can't read any of it.)

I can't believe I'm defending him but it's because any time he posted anything, a group of people would jump all over him for no reason. It didn't matter what he posted and how much validity the post had, he got ridiculed for it by that group. I didn't necessarily agree with his opinions on many subjects but that group was relentless in how they went after him. I'm not saying that it was okay to say what he did about Vance's kid - because he wasn't - but to say that he's solely to blame for the arguments he got into is downright wrong.

So are we going with Grossman and moving on to the Padres?

and anytime vance or a few other people posted something, he would jump all over them for no reason.

both sides were guilty of the same thing. the only difference was the people making fun of baseballguy were actually good at it, while his jokes sucked.

i think sonny gray goes to, and finishes, college....everyone i've spoke to about him talks like it's a big deal to him.

I think you're right, and I think he drops because of it.

Lots of people will scoff at the idea of him passing up first round money, but the reality is that if he indeed goes to Vandy, he will spend his time playing in nicer parks in front of more fans and elevating his draft stock, all while getting an excellent education. Playing in college (assuming he develops as predicted) means less time in the minors. SEC stadiums may not all compare to newer AA and AAA parks, but they're mostly better than Rookie, Low A, and High A parks, where he'll spend 3 years anyway.

Kid's a Commodore, I think. Don't waste the pick.

Another local boy for the Braves. I say we all do a top 5 for the Cubs like with pick 19.

Small matter, but the Cubs now pick 40th, instead of 39th, don't they? The Feliz signing dropped the Cubbies to 40th, I thought.

mwahaha!

the spot goes between the cards and royals no?

but no matter what they pick grossman

Which now puts the Cubbies on the clock at 40, and you get off the hook with Grossman. (Cheap and petty draft pick, IYAM!)

Since we took Gray earlier, who is unlikely to sign, I think a college player is the better bet here, so:

1. Weeks

2. Danks

3. DeVall

4. Kelley

5. Amezquita
