I wouldn't watch it over College Football, nor would I usually watch NBA over NFL, but college basketball is just so good

Both Emmitt Smith and Tom Jackson gave the COACHING edge in the SD/Ten game to Norv Turner. I'm honestly speechless that probably the worst coach currently active could get the coaching edge over anybody, much less one of the better coaches in the league.

They cited Norv's postseason experience as why he was better than Fisher. Really? Norv has never been to the Super Bowl (Fisher has) and Fisher has plenty of playoff experience. How in the world do you give Norv Turner the edge in coaching over anybody, much less a coach like Jeff Fisher? :-k

Jackson also gave the defensive edge to the Chargers, which I completely disagree with but understand, but coaching? How?

I didn't see/hear that. That's completely absurd and ridiculous. It actually makes me a little angry; they get paid for their opinion. Turner may be a good OC, but he's been terrible as a head coach. Fischer, on the other hand, is a top-5, at least, head coach. Coaching is a HUGE mismatch in that game. Unbelievable.

I'm trying to watch this game because there's nothing else on TV, but I just can't get into it. I could care less about either team. I'm really only watching in hopes that Eli Manning gets his head taken off. Doesn't look like it will happen though.

You're down by 10 with just over 3 minutes to go in the game, and you don't onside kick? That makes sense. Idiots.

Ballgame.

Three years ago, we beat the Vikes twice in the regular season, but lost when it mattered most. Hopefully the same fate accompanies the Cowboys next week.

yay - now comes the first game I really give a rats behind about since...Who knows when.

I know there is pretty much board-wide disdain for Merriman but I really hope he has some monster hits today. I'm really looking forward to a hard hitting physical game.

I think the Giants have a good chance next week. Regardless, I think the Packers are going to the Super Bowl.

You don't want a rematch in the NFC Championship?

Yeah, I laughed quite a bit when they said that. It was bad enough when Emmitt said that he would surprise some people with his pick, but then Jackson said Turner was an advantage as if it's common knowledge. How can 1-1 career in the playoffs and under .500 career regular season (Turner) be better than 5-4 career playoff record - with a Super Bowl appearance - and over .500 career regular season?

boy good thing the chargers got rid of marty, huh?

Yeah, they're doing much better in the playoffs this year than they did last year. Much better. 8-)

Titan defense is absolutely amazing so far, though. It's not all Norv's fault - right now at least.

he's got the best rb and te in the league; i think they should have more than zero points.

plus, if marty was losing to a 10 point underdog at halftime, everyone would be torching him... so i'm just doing the same to norv.

Turner's definitely out-coaching Fischer so far...

yeah coaching is the biggest mismatch in this game, and fortunately for the titans, a very good coach can make a decent team better than a very good team coached by the village idiot.

Exactly. Fisher gets the best out of his team, Norv gets the worst. One is the sign of a great coach, the other is not.

Fans in SD seem to be not too bright today. I think kicking the FG is the right decision than thinking you can get a long yard on fourth down.

I think most fans at the game would have reacted the same way but it was certainly the right decision.

SD really looks bad, they're going to get beat up next weekend.
