I wouldn't even take a dump in either of these states.

I once drove through Kansas. It was a whole lot of nothing. I've driven through Missouri a couple of times, and well it's much of the same.

For the record, I'm on Mizzou's side. Kansas is going to be exposed this week...to the point where they won't be considered for a BCS berth afterwards.

You'll find that's true of the majority of our states.

This is true. But I stayed over in Wichita. That place was the quintessential ghetto. It's no wonder that Ben Christenson was as messed up as he was.

Raise your hand if you thought this would be the most important college football game of the season, 3 months ago at this time?

It isn't. The winner (Mizzou) is losing to OU. It's really just a game to decide who plays in the Holiday Bowl (we both know the Cotton bowl is taking Texas and OU is getting the only BCS berth if they beat a 1 loss Mizzou)

If we've learned anything, it's that OU is much better at home than elsewhere, and Mizzou gave them all they can handle in Norman.

But we've gone too long without someone defaming kU.

Yay.

Just wondering, why are you so sure OU would beat MU? You don't think Mizzou could take them down at a neutral site? They only lost by 10 in Norman, which was mostly due to a dropped INT and a costly fumble. I'd like to hear your reasoning.

W/E. We'll agree to disagree so we both can concentrate on more important things at hand: How unproven Kansas is.

LOL 101st schedule!!

man i swear when they lose this game AND get a BCS berth they will be the most unqualified BCS team in the long sad history of unqualified qualified notre dame and others BCS teams.

There will plenty of time for us to discuss Mizzou vs OU Version 2.0 come next week

usually when two teams that i dont like/care about play each other, i root for whatever state holds my favorite city of the two competing teams.

In this case, though, it's kansas city. not really a lot of help

Because Kansas fans discussing football are like the 13 year olds who got to second base for the first time. They have no idea what its like to be good at football.

Yes, my team is traditionally bad at football, therefore I know nothing about football.

It must be nice to cherry-pick your favorite team from a short-list of perennial contenders instead of, I dunno, having actual ties to your team. What a luxury.

Well darn it, my basketball analogy is that they might score more in this game than in some of the basketball games.

This ought to be a fun game to watch. Enjoy it boys!

My trash talk....I do wish both teams played Texas during the regular season though.

How does the Big 12 not get a second BCS team? Do you really think bowls will pick 2 of 3 of: The ACC runnerup, Illinois, or Hawaii/Boise State over a 1 loss Kansas or a 2 loss Mizzou? That even assumes that Illinois and the ACC runnerup will be eligible, which is not even close to being assured yet.

Big surprise, OMC is rooting for the slave state.

So nice of you to say that. The ad hominem attacks continue on this board without challenge.

I agree...let's try to talk smack or whatever and not about each other like this. Thank you.

you might draw less fire if you used words like "personal" rather than "ad hominem."

Everyone who is from these states or went to these schools, good luck surviving this weekend. I just recently found out about the intense hatred between the 2 places and, honestly, I can't get enough of it. The historical significance, history of violence, and extremes that you people go to in terms of pranks and insults are fantastic.

A good rivalry like this is finally getting national attention and that's awesome. Add in the fact that several hours of tailgating and alcohol served at the stadium could make for one hell of an evening. Enjoy the weekend.

Curious, why is the game at Arrowhead rather than at one of the two schools?
Posted

I think they both agreed to play the next 2 games at Camarohead for money reasons. Originally it was supposed to be played early in the season, too, but both programs wanted the game played on "rivalry weekend."

The Arrowhead thing was all about money, though. Could cost us a shot at the Big XII title, which sucks.
