Topic #2. How can we get either Rose or Bayless in a Bulls uniform next season?

bulls should be able to get bayless if they want him, unless they stop sucking after the ASB. as for rose, lose the rest of their games and hope the ping pong balls bounce right.

Stop trying to make the playoffs with a .400 record.

well i wouldn't say they are trying very hard. if they make the playoffs with a .400 record its' not becasue of their awesome effort

Bayless will go top 10, probably top 7. Bulls need to lose a bit more to get him.

Bull will actually probalby draft a pud like Kevin Love.

I doubt it unless the Bulls make the playoffs or are at the fringe of the lottery. You might not like the Hinrich, Gordon, Deng, Thomas or Noah picks but none of them were reaches. Love anywhere before ~12 would be.

speaking of making the playoffs, the sixers are doing their usual b.s.... taking a team mediocre in talent and managing to win enough games to land a late lottery pick. we need a friggin star, nobody is showing up to games because iguodala and dalembert do not sell tickets. fortunately billy king is not running the show so we actually might make some good draft picks, but the sixers really need to tank. mo cheeks is too good of a coach, we need freddy carter, doug moe or john lucas at the helm.

first order of business is trading andre miller. unfortunately we're in the playoff hunt now because the east is a joke, so we might just keep him around and try for the #8 seed so we can get bent over by the celtics in the first round. but miller is a really solid player, and we could get a nice return for him at the deadline.

I love how not only did the Lakers get much, much better with the Pau Gasol trade, but that other teams made reactionary trades that made them worse (Phoenix) and, at best, only marginally better and probably not better at all (Dallas). This is awesome.

As a Mavs fan, I like the trade for this year. Being in the bottom-third in assists, we needed a guy who can dish the ball out, and Kidd can obviously do that. I'm going to miss Harris, as I've thought all along that he would be our PG of the future, but this is to help us win right now, and I think Kidd gives us a better chance of winning it all this year than Harris would.

... and I think Kidd gives us a better chance of winning it all this year than Harris would as long as we don't face the Warriors in the first round.

Fixed.

Man, I really don't like the trade from Dallas' perspective. That's a steep price. The Lakers didn't pay anywhere close to that for Gasol.

Maybe that is because Jerry West gave his old team a nice big gift. The league should have vetoed that trade.

Well yeah, the Lakers got a ridiculously sweet deal.

Sounds like the Mavs will get Stack back:

Jerry Stackhouse told the AP that he expects for the Nets to buy out his contract so that he can return to the Mavericks within 30 days.

"Now I think it's pretty much a done deal," Stackhouse said of today's reported trade. "I feel great. I get 30 days to rest, then I'll be right back," he said. "I ain't going nowhere." Stackhouse continues to talk as if he's still a member of the Mavericks, saying "We need a jolt. Adding a player like Kidd can re-energize a team." Stack's confidence leads us to believe he'll be back in Dallas in the near future, but as of today, he's headed to the Nets. Feb. 13 - 5:40 pm et
