I can't even express how happy I am to have dropped a bunch of money to fly to Chicago. Next time the Cubs make the playoffs I'll just burn some money instead.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, you aren't the only one. I leave tomorrow at 10:30 for Chicago, although I'm not going to any games. I'll be at a weekend Bear/Packer/playoff party at a lake house in Twin Lakes, WI. There'll be a couple of big-time Cardinal fans there (one I have known for 35 years) that will be gloating to no end. Maybe I'll just miss my flight.

Does anyone have the stats on teams going 0-2 to win a five game series? Probably not good and with Webb in Game 5 if we get there, this is not going to end well.

I don't have the overall stats, but I know one team who in 1984 came back to win a five game series after being down 0-2.

How about one not playing the Cubs?

seriously, start ward at 1b saturday. lee is not cut out for this type of game, apparently.

Yes, apparently. Not like he ever played in any pressure filled games down the stretch this season. Or, for example, when he was on the team that won the World Series in '03.

He batted .209 but had some huge hits. Especially against us.

1 huge hit.

Thats 1 more than the entire Cubs team this series.

You do have a point there.

Go Rockies. Todd Helton deserves a ring more than Auggie soapdropping Ojeda.

this goes for every year...if the cubs don't win, i could give a rats ass who wins. it makes me physically sick to think of the joy others are getting by winning.

How many flippin balls can the Cubs hit deep on the track only to see everything the DBacks hit fall in? That's now 3 track shots in less than 2 innings.

4 out of 27 teams have pulled it off in the Division Series era.

Well the way the Cubs are playing, I won't be going to any of the games either (have a ticket to the Game 4 that doesn't appear likely to take place.

Both teams would lose.
