This is a serious question.

Does this team really give a crap?

Yes

No, they really don't. They go home and enjoy their luxurious lifestlyes. We the fans suffer because.... because... because... I don't know why...

I guess if that makes you feel better about them losing a game that you really wanted them to win then go ahead and think that. By the way, the Phillies also really as a ground don't care at all but the Rockies and D-Backs really do. That's why they are winning.

Yes

How so? The meat and potatoes have done nothing but crap the bed so far.

Just because they are bad doesn't mean they don't care.

I can't even express how happy I am to have dropped a bunch of money to fly to Chicago. Next time the Cubs make the playoffs I'll just burn some money instead.

And if I hear one more time how the players don't think about Bartman, and curses, and fan expectations, and 99 years and Leon Durham and goats and on and on, I am going to scream. The amount of pressure each of these players must feel every single inning must be immense. So stop saying you don't think about it! It's obvious you do!

Or maybe they just suck at baseball.

For 99 years?

About as possible as the curse ;)

seriously, start ward at 1b saturday. lee is not cut out for this type of game, apparently.

Yes, apparently. Not like he ever played in any pressure filled games down the stretch this season. Or, for example, when he was on the team that won the World Series in '03.

he hit .188 that series against the cubs. over the course of 76+ postseason ab's, he's hitting like .210 with a SLG under .300.

So your saying he has been money?

Completely agree. Baseball players are superstitious as it gets. I think it is a load on these guys.

I don't think a sample size could get any bigger than that.....

and the flyers blow their two-goal lead, YES. Too bad the Eagles are off this week, maybe donovan mcnabb and brian westbrook can suffer season-ending injuries in a boating accident.

donovan is behind the ari. dugout, i guess you should hope for a foul ball off the right arm. the cubs lefties should be tardy enough to provide ample opportunities.

wait hold on, i think donovan mcnabb just got sacked again

He batted .209 but had some huge hits. Especially against us.

He's this generation's Andre Dawson.

hey chicago is a nice city... enjoy the vacation and the city, don't let the cubs ruin it for you.

Does anyone have the stats on teams going 0-2 to win a five game series? Probably not good and with Webb in Game 5 if we get there, this is not going to end well.

For anyone that is reading this... I am going to bed after this half inning so my game thread wont be up until tomorrow morning
