  1. A. Would you like me to list in order from A-Z all the unprofessional situations he has found himself in the past 6 years? B. Oh really? Do you know exactly who we could get for him? Are you a baseball executive? C. A personal opinion. I think he is a bum who has never led his team to anything. So you disagree. So what? D. See A-C.
  2. I have no idea why you've come to the conclusion that he doesn't want to play for the Cubs. He just doesn't want to be told how to be a professional baseball player by anyone, Cubs or no Cubs. God I hope we shed this bum in the offseason. This is such a stupid post on multiple levels. Oh please. Enlighten me.

  4. Good point.
  5. For me it's more like as long as the Cubs are good it's tolerable, but when they aren't it's annoying. And I see no reason to apologize for that. He's a douchebag, but if he's performing well I don't care too much. Yeah that. I'm just sick of this entire team and need somewhere to vent this frustration. It's one thing to play badly but to act a fool while playing badly, that's just so irritating.
  6. what happened? Presumably the fact that he gave up 2 runs. For his first win since July 22nd? Against the Pirates? Funny guy, you are. Actually Z got pissed that Lou took him out. They got into a heated discussion in the dugout.
  7. How many more years do we have to suffer through Carlos? A complete tool today again.
  8. You must have only been a Cubs fan since last November then. May 1972 when I took my first breath. At least that team last year actually made the playoffs before crapping themselves. As far as sheer embarasment, there have been many moments, but I cant think of any as bad as the 2008 playoffs, especially since it followed the 2007 playoffs Good point. And I never thought it could get any lower than the 2003 NLCS Game 6.

  10. I've never been more ashamed to be a Cubs fan than I am right now.
  11. I might make that my new homepage. According to that site, 16 people died at waterparks from 1972-1997, most of them young children and teenagers. Obviously they're deathtraps. Did you also take into account all those blown out knees, torn rotator cuffs, broken bones, sprained ankles and concussions that never got reported? God, this thread is so much fun. Larry Horse, by cracky, I agree 100%. I've defended Carlos to the ends of the earth to a Cardinal co-worker but I'm done. He's a douche. Both the co-worker and Carlos.
  12. Not if Lance Briggs is driving.
  13. he's not allowed to play catch with his daughter? He was caught playing a pickup game which was reported days ago. Since he was caught, he is now saying he was just playing catch with his daughter. Again, the Dusty excuse. Hide behind the kids. So lame. "Reported" by some random caller on a sports talk show. That makes it 100% true. Wrong. Z admitted to playing softball. Why is this so hard to follow? :banghead: And for those laughing at waterparks, I present: http://www.rideaccidents.com/ Still want your $90 million supposed ace and leader farting around these places?

  15. And yet it appears Z admits to playing softball, of course. But he hides behind it by saying he was only playing catch with his daughter. I'm not a Z hater, by the way. I used to love the guy. But I'm so sick of this team and what they have all become collectively. Just so very disappointed.
  16. Keep treating everything you hear from some random moron caller on sports talk radio as gospel. And keep putting your head in the sand and saying "It's Gonna Happen!"
  17. Keep playing softball, Carlos, and skipping your treatments. You rock.
  18. He has admitted that he plays softball in the offseason. But playing pickup softball while on the freakin DL for a bad back while your team that was supposed to win the World Series tanks into the crapper, just does not smell right at all. In the very best it shows total lack of good judgement. In the worst, it is a breach of his contract. But of course, it's all made up by those sneaky Sox fans.
  19. These guys = spoiled, overpaid athletes. And I'm just reporting what I heard this morning while buried knee deep in thrilling spreadsheets. You can take it or leave it. Most seem to want to leave it. Fair enough.
  20. Because, yeah, these guys would NEVER, EVER do anything like that EVER.
  21. ESPN 1000 this morning had a caller call in and say Z was spotted playing a pickup softball game last night. While on the DL for a bad back. :banghead:
  22. Fred's not online. :( Oh...well that sucks. First time 10 runs in an inning since 7/10/04 against the Cards. ETA: Crap. Too slow.
  23. I just sat in the bleachers for the very first time about a month ago and I was expecting the worse, i.e. drunk, obnoxious, loud, frat boys and I must admit I never saw it at all. I actually had a great time and everyone around me was very respectful of the players and other fans. Is that not normal?
