  1. Let's hope we see this exact scene again tonight! http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7/siuc1996/Cubs%20Game/z.jpg
  2. Little premature for that, ya think? Very.
  3. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7/siuc1996/Cubs%20Game/IMG_2237.jpg Here is the original image (resized) but not cropped nor photoshopped (I bumped up the color saturation a little bit and also used "unsharp mark" on the final product) at all. All I could find for the ISO was it was set on Auto. The shutter speed was 1/640 and aperture was 4. I used the P function on the camera but did not make any changes. And I always shoot at the highest setting possible. One trick that I find helps greatly is to always use the viewfinder rather than the LCD screen. It helps to keep the image much more still and helps reduce the blur because you are holding it so close to your body. With the Soto shot, I kept my left eye open to watch when the pitch was coming and used the right eye to focus on the batter. Hope that helps. Very cool that so many are snapping up these cameras. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. It's easy to use yet still is still very customizable for those that like to shoot outside the automatic setting. I'll be glad to help answer any questions that I can for those newbies out there. I've had mine about 6 months but I still have so much more to learn.
  4. I was in row 5 in section 215. Most of the action shots were zoomed all the way in. I also needed to crop out a lot of extra stuff with many of the pictures. The camera is certainly not small enough to fit in a pocket but is still compact enough to carry in a small camera bag. That is what I brought into the game. Hope that helps! Thanks again for all the compliments. Glad everyone is enjoying the pictures.
  5. No special lens at all. Just the camera as it comes out of the box. Yeah, I have a Continuous setting and then a Hi-Continuous setting so I tried the latter and it seemed to be clicking off pretty quickly. Hardest part was getting is all lined up in Paint Shop Pro. lol I can't recommend this camera enough. I think there is another version out, maybe S4 or S5 that has more pixels (mine has 5 megapixels). But for the money, this camera really rocks. It takes great video too and I got a little bit of the celebration afterwards but you can hear me singing Go Cubs Go in the background. I really don't think anyone should have to suffer through that so it will remain locked in my computer.
  6. I use the Canon S3 IS. Has an optical 12X zoom which makes all the difference in the world. I love it.
  7. You may want to try that picture again. Photobucket resized it smaller for some reason but I put the bigger image back out there. :D Thanks for all the compliments! I'm still riding high after yesterday's game.
  8. Hey guys, not sure if these belong here or if they should go in the Game Threads so please forgive me if I'm wrong. But I wanted to just share some images I took at the game. We were in section 215. The day could not have been better. I just wish all Cubs fans the world over could have been there to soak it all in. The place was so incredible. I can't even imagine what it would be like if we can wrap up this thing this week. Ramirez warming up before the game http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7/siuc1996/Cubs%20Game/cubs4.jpg Freezing the pitch. Looks like a strike to me. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7/siuc1996/Cubs%20Game/cubs10.jpg Zambrano walking off after striking out three in the first inning. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7/siuc1996/Cubs%20Game/cubs19.jpg Lou getting the ball tossed to him by the ump after he argued with him. Very funny. Lou still has those quick hands. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7/siuc1996/Cubs%20Game/cubs22.jpg Lou laughing as he walked off after that. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7/siuc1996/Cubs%20Game/cubs23.jpg Lou gives Z his props as he walked off in the 7th. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7/siuc1996/Cubs%20Game/cubs27.jpg The exact moment the 4 run inning by the Braves was posted and the place went crazy with the tomahawk chop. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7/siuc1996/Cubs%20Game/cubs29.jpg Kerry walking off to a great ovation after the 7th inning. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7/siuc1996/Cubs%20Game/cubs30.jpg Cedano celebrating his two run homer. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7/siuc1996/Cubs%20Game/cubs33.jpg Various crowd shots after the win with all the W flags everywhere. There were dozens and dozens of them everywhere. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7/siuc1996/Cubs%20Game/cubs35.jpg http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7/siuc1996/Cubs%20Game/cubs36.jpg Rapid fire shot of Z delivering the pitch early in the game http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7/siuc1996/Cubs%20Game/cubs12.jpg A clickable image that gives you a great image of what Wrigley felt like. What a perfect day. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j7/siuc1996/Cubs%20Game/th_CUBWIDE3.jpg Hope you all enjoy these. Like I said, I apologize if these should be in a game thread instead of here. Just thought I would try to share the Cub joy with everyone.
  9. Not the point. The point is we've already had 2 guys thrown out at home, squandered a bases loaded 1 out situation with 0 runs to show for it, squandered a runner on second 0 out situation with 0 runs, completely botched a dropped third strike play with a lacksadasical throw to first. If we play this game soundly, we are up 5-0 I know the point. Trust me. I've kicked enough chairs and cussed enough TV's the past 35 years. But games like this happen. We'll score again.
  10. It's only the third inning guys. We will come back.
