who the hell is Joe Nuxall? the best known baseball player in Cincy? ummm, i think not...

That's joe Nuxhall. Been a Reds' announcer for about 40 years after finishing his playing career with the Reds. Around Cincinnati, he's as well known as any of 'em.

yeah, i know full well who he is. i was being facetious. if you would have read my previous poists, my point is more about the absurdity of this Reds guy in the crowd/ Reds broadcast. as for Nux being the most famous Red? i still think not.

shall i display stats? ;)

Yes. I would most definitely like to see your stats on who is the most well known. That should be most informative.

see:

Bench, Morgan, Rose, etc. oh yeah...

So? Billy Williams is in the Hall of Fame and Ron Santo is not. Which one is more beloved and more known by Cubs fans? Santo, because of his announcing career. The same is the case for Nuxhall.

BTW, I believe Nuxhall will hold the record for the youngest player ever to play in a major league game for a long time. He was 15 when he got into a game in 1945.

fine. you win all the money. Joe Nuxhall is the most famous Cincinnati Reds player of all time.

Where's all those stats you promised us to refute that assertion ????

Please tell me the SD bullpen can be great if need be......

It can indeed, however they would need to have a lead first of course. With Maddog in there I fear it's just going to be troublesome to keep the Crew from scoring.

Give it up fellas. Not worth it. The Cubs are winning and may have a chance to clinch tonight. Enjoy the moment.
