im not freaking out. but im pretty pissed we are playing like crap

 

I would be if I were you. We're blowing this division, make no mistake.

 

The doubt level is at 0 for me. I'd bet my luger we're not going to the playoffs.

For those of you wondering, there will be an attempt at a NSBB get-together in Champaign this weekend. Come on down and commiserate.

 

Where will the wake be? And the service?

You can keep saying 'oh the lead is 1 with only 3 to go, all they have to do is win 1 game and they have to go 2/3 to tie." Don't give me that crap. Win a freaking game.

 

With your emotions aside, you can't see that the Cubs have a much better chance to win the division right now than Milwaukee does?

 

I'll freak out when we're on the verge of being tied and then in an elimination game. At this point, it's wasted energy.

 

I can't put my emotions aside because we are talking about the Cubs. Not the Diamondbacks, Yankees, Braves, Rockies. The CUBS

Anyone who doesn't believe the 99 year noose this team wears does not affect them is kidding themselves. Maybe if we change the team name we can win a World Series. The curse may not be real, but the pressure associated with it is very real.

I'll admit, I have a sick ball at the pit of my stomach about this, but I try (my best) to calm myself down with reason.

 

It's not like I'm not getting pissed off when bad stuff happens.
