So is this the worst division race in the history of baseball. I do remember the White Sox almost blowing a huge division lead before winning the World Series. Of course they were good.

This will turn into a battle of attrition.

Theres a big fun vacuum in miller park.

Looks like the brewers were unable to capitaleze off the 'momentum' of the Cubs' loss tonight.

looks like the Cards were able to capitalize on the momentum shift of the beaning.

I'm not sure which I would have been more quicker to believe on Monday - the Cubs dropping the first two to fla, or the pathetic redbirds turning any one of the three against the brewers into a laugher.

Brewers won their series. Cubs didn't. If they Cubs won 2/3 this season would be over.

Two game lead with 4 to go. That's all I care about.

Brewers have (almost) officially choked much harder than us tonight.

At least we lost on the road to a bad team with a good offense with our crappiest (well, second crappiest when you count Trax) pitcher.

They're about to lose at home to what amounts to a far worse team right now... And get blown out.

The Brewers also won the first two games of the series and won the series. The Cubs have already lost the series with a chance to get swept tomorrow.

Advantage: Cubs.

Eh, not really. They clinched going into the final series with the Indians.

That's true, but we also went into these last 6 games thinking that if the Cubs could just avoid a sweep each of these last two series, they'd be golden. This cards win tonight ([-o<) makes that scenario fact. No Marlins or Reds sweep = 1-game playoff at worst, and that's only if Milwaukee manages to sweep the pads.
