I had a dubious record of something like 13 losses in a row before Z's CG over Houston on the makeup game in June.

I busted the slump. Its not impossible (sorry ct)

ETA: Z only went 8 innings that day.

good game. Derrek Lee and Juan Pierre hit home runs the next day. better game.

I went to a Z game once. He went 8 innings, think he gave up a run. He beaned Alex Cora, this was the day after that 16-pitch AB between Clement and Cora which resulted in a HR for Alex.

My first Z game was similar - it was the first weekend of '04, and Z allowed the Braves 1 run thru 8 innings, but he was in line to lose 1-0 until Hollandsworth tied it with a 2-out HR off Smoltz. Cubs won in 15. I'll try to remember that one over the one I saw with soccer where he allowed the tater to Matt Cain and his .068 BA. Z really needs to keep the ball rolling this game.

ETA: In my Z game, the Cubs won like 8-1. Jose Macias had 3 hits (this was his West Coast trip where he hit like .800 for two series).

My stupid best friend got married that weekend, so I had to drive 2 hrs to see the game that night (I bumped the bachelor party up to Thursday night), drive 2 hrs home to be the best man and miss Saturday's game, then drive 2 hrs back to Atlanta to see KW beat the Braves 10-2.

Today, my friend wishes he would have let me talk him into going to the Cubs game instead.
