who knows if it came from Roth or Baker, but someone on the bench called for the same pitch over and over and over, completely ignoring that the pitch that was continuously called was the pitch that Franco has made a living on for several decades. he never should have gotten a single fastball on the outside corner, much less 10 in a row.

edit - nope, Farns did come in to attempt to clean up Andy Pratt's mess, but walked a batter, then threw the same pitch 13 times to Franco.

for as often as my buddies and I go to chicago for the games, I thought about renting a place in wrigleyville for the summer and just splitting it up between my buddies and I. Only 3 of us makes it a bit expensive still. It'd be nice to get a group of people and split it up.

The second time Z faced Harang this season, the Cubs took a 5-0 lead into the top of the 5th. By the time the Reds made their first out of the fifth inning, they already led 6-5, which was the final. So I guess one bright side to the game tonight is that if they lose, it can't be TOO much more brutal than that one was.

Not really - I'm sure they could just go claim LaTroy off waivers in time for him to pull off another doozy. I don't put anything past them, I just think the aforementioned game was pretty brutal.
