What kind of dumb question is Bruce Levine asking?

What did he ask?

It wasn't really phrased as a question... something about luck and how it seems like teams who make the playoffs usually win these type of games. Lou didn't understand it, and either did I.

Yes the Cubs are so lucky, It's not like every single time Aramis hits it out there it drops like say the 5th inning

Random brewerfan.net rant of the night:

I am so freaking tired of the Cubs's luck especially this last week or so. Every bounce, and every little thing is going their way. On that triple by Ramirez, Hopper makes a diving attempt that he almost caught. he would've caught that against the Brewers. It's just so depressing. The Brewers do everything they have to do, and it looks like they are going to pull even with the Cubs who are 3 outs away from defeat and what happens?? Ughhhhh I hate to say it but it just doesn't seem to me that destiny is smiling on the Brewers and I'm afraid they are going to come up just a bit short. What really sucks about it is the Cubs have NO BUSINESS, absolutely NONE being in 1st place. They are NOT as talented as the Brewers. It may sound like sour grapes, but it's really not when I say I have watched and listened to a number of Cubs games this year and they have had so much luck go their way. So many fluky things have happened that have allowed them to win some games this year.

LOL, he doesn't watch many Cubs games does he.

Well the post is pretty silly, its just a rant but balls have been bouncing the Cubs way left and right since about late May now. The wild pitching in philly, the flurry of 2 out RBI hits in July, all the errors and bad defense other teams played in August, games like tonight where a couple misplayed balls hand the game to you.

Someone upstairs is on the Cubs side.

Granted in April/May the opposite happened, the Cubs couldn't buy a break and Yost even said he thought more things bounced our way in that one month than all of last year.

june and july yes. since, no.

That's when Lou said it wasn't about luck.

That was a pretty blunt question about Soriano needing to play smarter baseball. Lou tip toed around it, but Im surprised they asked it

Did you also notice how he referred to Theriot as "our leadoff hitter." Technically he led off the inning, but I interpreted Lou's statment as Theriot being the team's leadoff guy.

That has to do with the fact that we are playing bad teams. Good teams take advantage of those mistakes that horrible teams make.

Haha.

DeRosa "We didn't play fundamental baseball... Couple double plays we couldn't turn that scored... Jacque Jones selling out and the run scoring..."

Oh my sweet Jesus.....

I can't get excited. I can't. I've been hurt too many times before by this team...

Oh, how I want to get excited like the rest of you and honestly, truly, deeply believe that this is the year it happens.... but I can't.

I go off to watch the end of wrestling, then watch a Twilight Zone on DVR, and I come back and I could swear I was in the Twilight Zone myself.

Sweet crap this team is going to kill me.

you know, like tonight where a check swing and a bloop hit gave the other team two runs. or when Aram's ball that everyone in the world thought would go 430 feet and Hopper made an incredible catch.

someone upstairs on the Cubs side. puh-leaz.

I agree Soriano will still bat leadoff, but I read that Piniella still considers Theriot as more of his leadoff man even though he doesn't bat in that spot in the order.

Hey, every time I put on my headphones (had to listen on WGN) the Cubs did something bad. So, for the good of the team I took them off and occupied myself with other things.
