Watching SportsCenter. How much do you want to bet that the Yankees highlights of beating the Orioles are shown before the Cubs game?

that never makes any sense to me. apparently they are under the impression that the Yankees are what people tune in to see. given that, shouldn't they bury it somewhere in the middle or toward the end of the show to keep all those people watching for more of the show?

i just don't understand why the hell an average monday night football game outdoes HUGE postseason stretch baseball games for the first 13 (and counting) minutes of the show. wtf.

HOLY FREAKIN CRAP.

That was by far the most amazing game I have EVER seen live. The atmosphere, right from the start of the game, was incredible. I was standing out-side the right field peep-hole for the first 5.5 innings, but sometime in the middle of the sixth some woman and her friend who were apparently leaving the game gave me and some guy next to me free bleacher tickets.

And holy crap, the finish to that game was AMAZING. The most incredible finish ever. The best part was...i think it was ramirez, throwing his batting helmet about a mile in the sky.

The place went INSANE. I was in left/leftcenter field about 20 rows up. The people around me...me...everyone; I'm so pumped right now it's most likely not healthy!

Those are great....are there any of the mob scene at home plate?...If there was one, I'm assuming there was.

Actually, there really wasnt. there was a quick one, but everyone flew out and mobbed DeRosa.

It was Jaqcue throwing the helmet. He took his and DeRosa's helmet and just hurled them in the aird. It was great.

And I agree, what an amazing atmosphere in the 9th. Best game I've been to probably ever. Definitely glad I decided to go. After I saw that ball get away from Hopper on Ramirez's line drive, I went absolutely nuts. I have no voice right now.

just rewatched the 9th on MLB.TV. Holy crap that place was loud! I got chills with Len and Bob's call on Aramis's HR.

why does everyone keep talking about an aramis homerun? i didn't think he hit one today...

Cards lose!

At this point, that's a bad thing.

But the Cards losing to the Phillies is a good thing. The Phils need to keep the pressure on San Diego to make the Padres' games in Milwaukee meaningful.

I just came back down to earth a little bit seeing that Sheets is going against a guy with an 11.25 ERA tomorrow.....but not all the way back down to earth....and I still have about 3 hours of homework tonight.

Losing that game to the Astros where Lee made that stupid catch still irritates me. Now they pull this pitching in this series. Ridiculous.

My voice is extremely hoarse at this point. When I got home my roommate asked me "how was the game" and I couldnt make the word "incredible" all the way audible.

And yeah, as soon as I saw that ball get by hopper i was jumping around like an idiot screaming "I DONT BELIEVE IT" at the top of my lungs.
