Good luck. Here's to a speedy recover to Angel. Huge uphill battle to ever be a full-time contributor in the MLB at this point. Seriously one of the most electric arms I've ever seen.

out for 2008. Having TJS, according to Bruce Levine on ESPN1000.

Which is...?

You're kidding, right?

Oh well, TJS is Tommy John surgery.

 I don't know alot of medical terms and/or abbreviations

OK, sorry for the snide comment.

Maybe that was the problem. Should have tried engine-driven. Or maybe a steam turbine.

That really sucks.

Let's make a list:

Lance Dickson

Mike Harkey

Mark Prior

Angel Guzman

I'm not sure if Wood had TJS. *shrug*

Wow, this came out of nowhere. Or so it seems.

Really? This just looks like the logical conclusion of where Angel was heading, IMO.

maybe we should go after matt clement in the offseason guys!

in all seriousness, it wouldnt be that bad of an idea.

i still like him and think he'll be a useful addition to whatever team picks him up. i don't think the Cubs are going to go after him, though.

So why is this just now getting done in Sept?

i don't know much about injuries and whatnot, but this is what rotoworld said on June 8th, and it might be why the Cubs waited.

An MRI showed that Angel Guzman has a strained medial ligament in his pitching elbow.

The good news for Guzman is he didn't injure the ulnar collateral ligament which is associated with Tommy John surgery. He won't touch a baseball for at least two weeks in an effort to let the ligament heal.

Yet another incorrect diagnosis it seems.

So further proof the Cubs medical staff is full of jackasses

The Cubs have moved on from the whole "Our starters spend 1/2 the season on the DL" phase.

I'm hoping Oakland gives up on Harden and we grab him. We hang onto Prior, they both come back healthy and pitch a full season at full effectiveness.

Yeah, it's more likely that we get ARod.

And that ain't happening, either.

Or that his UCL wasn't damaged to the point of needing TJS 3 months ago.

Of course the the Cubs medical staff aren't the only ones involved when it comes to checking such a severe injury.
