Week 1 - Chicago (0-0) vs. San Diego (0-0), 3:15 CT, FOX

I agree it's aweful play calling, but the Chicago Bears need to get 2 yards in three running downs if they are going to be successful.

I'm looking at you again Olin. constantly has the help of a guard, but can never move anyone one inch.

He'll never be able to move a big beefer like that, especially not a pro bowler.

Frankly I think think it's bad playcalling to expect him to. But that's JMHO. I agree we need to be able to pound out yards, but this is one of the very best.

Yea lets pose LT after your craptacular day.

More TD passes than Grossman

More TD runs than Benson

It was a terrible day by his standards but he still has 2 TD under his belt and he's undoubtedly the best RB in football. Let the man pose.

I like you but you are incredibly annoying in a Bears game thread. If you were within arm's reach you'd have a black eye right about now.

Oh come on, man.

And yet people are accusing me of breaking the rules around here?

I'm on a baseball site talking about a football game. I'm not starting fights, and I'm not saying anything near as venomous as gets said every single day in baseball threads on the board. I dont know what it is about football but people get so much more defensive over these games then even cubbies games.

The difference is that the venom on Cubs game threads is from Cubs fans, and it's known that they want the Cubs to win even if they scold the players/manager. It's obvious that you're not a Bears fan, and that rubs people the wrong way when this is for all intents and purposes a Bears game thread. At least that's how I see it.

I'm officially concerned about the running game.

More concerned with the turnovers than the yardage, especially given how good the Chargers defensive front is.

Have they tried anything outside the tackles? They had a couple of bad screens, but I can think only think of one or two sweeps or pitches.

We'd better run all over KC.

You're not near me, I'm not threatening you. But if you were sitting in the same room and started pulling out the "Oh Please" crap I'd pop you one. That is all.

I'm pretty sure threatening physical violence in any way is forbidden by board policies.

I have no problem with you, or any of you guys, but its really kinda offensive to me that you guys are getting on my case so much. I havent broken any board rules and I'm not trolling. I'm not talking trash about the bears or starting fights.

Roast, no doubt that's a threat and Soul needs to cut it out but look at your location. You're in a Bears game thread, you're a fan of the Bears' biggest rival AND a fan of the team the Bears are playing. I'd tread carefully like Cardinal fans and Brewer fans do in Cubs game threads.

Well, I'm willing to chalk this one up to just being a better team in SD and we're on the road.

Next week we better have our butts in gear against a team that just got blown to kingdom come by the Houston Texans.

I dont think Soul would have said anything had he just said the unbolded, but the bolded part to me sounds like rubbing it in our faces.

This is the Chicago Bears, we don't do sweeps and screens. Leave that sissy stuff to the warm-weather teams.

great tackling on that play.

see Raisen's post. I have no issues with what the defense does from here on out.

im with you, just frustrated on that play. didnt expect them to win, but disappointing to see the offense play as bad as it was. especially the damn play calling. and the offensive line play.

i guess lets just take it out on the chiefs next weekend.

while it definitely is the boner prize of boner prizes, Buck and Aikman have called about the best game I have ever heard them call today.

Find it funny that LT poses after TDs, but he cried when the pats players posed after a playoff win. I know football players arent known for their brians, but still..

Costly turnovers (2 bad mental mistakes and 2 bad physical mistakes) to go along with two potentially costly injuries. Not a good way to start the season.
