Seriously. This feels like 2004 all over again, players more worried about things outside the game (this year the fans, 04 the announcers) than they are about winning it seems. Everyone should just shut up and play. We have 26 games left to win this division and go to the playoffs. Go out there and play like you want it.

even if he is right, it's not a very smart move to make those comments public. especially when you've been dog crap for over a month, you shouldn't expect the crowd to shower you with love when you exit that game. he comes across as a huge tool.

Agreed Stitch. The turnaround from how the fans felt towards July Z and Z now is like watching Jones at the beginning of the season and now.

Couldn't agree more. People seem to think they're somehow providing some sort of motivation with the booing. Apparently they assume the players aren't trying hard enough or else they'd obviously be getting the results. I have a feeling that if you were actually in the clubhouse you'd know how ridiculous that was, and how ignorant most fans really are about what causes these difficulties.

 

Bottom line is that fans booing players probably hurts the team way more than any "help" it may provide.

I respect Lee way too much to say anything against him, and he's right to say that the fans should not have booed. I wouldn't have either. That said, Z needs to not pop off if they do and understand where they're coming from.
