I'd like to know how you're supposed to show your displeasure aside from booing. Create signs insulting his performance while you're at the game? Throw moltov cocktails?

You have every right to boo. But booing a highly emotional player who's just signed a five year contract is beyond stupid. Go ahead and boo if it makes you feel better about yourself. But telling yourself it's doing anything to help the situation is a mistake, IMO.

I really, really have to differ with you on this one.

The main benefit is that this incident will help toughen up Z. He is very emotionally fragile. He needed this in his progress to maturity. If he is ever to become a GREAT pitcher, he will have to learn to control his emotions. This boo'ing incident will help him harden and become more stable -- hopefully.

Maybe coddling and cheering is exactly what Z DOESN'T NEED. Maybe he needs to understand that fans WILL BOO -- regardless of whether you think it is right or wrong -- they WILL Boo...and that he will have to learn to ignore it.

All of us need to learn to take the bad things in our lives and use them to mature.

I love your selective quoting, literally removing my quote from context. I did not and would not have booed zambrano. that doesn't make the post I was responding to less stupid.
