I know four AB's is a small sample size and I'm not taking anything from it but why am I not surprised that Carlos Lee has a 2.417 OPS against a Cub pitcher?

Cubs should put up at least 5 against Williams, including two HRs.

 

That's what I told my nephew the last time we faced him... :cry:

 

I don't know.... last time we put up double digit runs was Thur 16 Aug against the Reds when we beat 'em 12-4. In the 14 games since then (8-6), the CUBS have been putting up an average of 3.43 R/G with a team OPS of .669. Their high output is 6 runs in the Friday game against Arizona a week ago, and their low is 1, which was achieved 4 different times.

 

I sure hope facing Woody Williams is antidote for whatever's ailing us !!! The only other alternative may be electro shock therapy ????

Rich Hill is almost unstoppable...but so is Woody, Cubs win 2-1.

 

Let's hope Rich Hill is unstoppable today, 'cause we're scoring 2.33 R/G and OPSing .535 against Woody Williams in three appearances this year, and as noted before, our offense is in a funk to begin with.
