There's a significant population of expatriate American families living in Saudi Arabia working for oil companies and the like. Most of these white kids playing for Saudi Arabia are kids from those families.

Just got home... so will we get the game in tonight or not?

I checked the score on MLB.com at work, at 7p, and its was in delay then... checked exactly 2 hours later, still delayed... and still yet delayed 35 minutes later.... what's the cutoff time that they'll wait??

Apologies if this was already posted (if so, just tell me the page number if possible), but can someone refresh my memory on this. If we get through 5 with the lead, is it game over assuming it gets rained out? Or do we just finish the game from the 5th when possible like we've done earlier with that game in the 8th? I forget if there was a change in the rules this season.

It all depends.

1) We are leading at the end of the the Cardinals half of the fifth, we win.

2) We take the lead in our half of the bottom of the fifth, suspended game.

3) We dont make it the fifth and it really dosent matter.

The other change is if the game is official but tied. Under the old rules it was declared a tie game (meaning individual statistics count but the game had to be replayed in its entirety). Under the new rules it's suspended and resumed.

I bow to you sir for the correctness of your post. :)

Per WGN radio feed, tons of water in the outfield, would take a long while to get the field in playing shape, and looks like more storms are developing to the West. They are not too hopeful about getting this in.

In the Wrigley cam, there are people heading back inside, are they getting the game in?

You can't re-enter the stadium

I think he means back into their seats as opposed to back in the ballpark.

cubs.com still shows the game as delayed rather than postponed. For the reasons mentioned in this thread they'll probably wait a long time before calling it and make every effort to at least get an official game in.

With the amount of people it looks that are exiting, I'm betting they've called it.

Agreed. There are a ton of people leaving now.

Since tomorrow is getaway day, they won't schedule a DH, will they? Wouldn't this be a game that gets made up at a later date, even if the Cards don't come back to Wrigley?

Would they move back the game time tomorrow if they do somehow play tonight and it goes late? Otherwise the players might as well just spend the night at Wrigley.

I can't shake the notion that we'll arrive in SF with a shredded pen and exhausted lineup. This sucks.
