I wonder if all the people leaving/who left got bad info??

Wonder how many are gonna be PO'd when they find out the game might still go on tonight???

I wonder if it's more likely that people have 2+ hours drive home and want to get on the road?

Well, it is Sunday night and plenty of people have to go to work tomorrow. That may have something to do with it.

Very possible indeed (forgot about those circumstances)... but it has beep PPd, so they didn't get bad info.

No worries, peeps... just means we get to spend a whole 24 hours, + some, at a whole 1.0 ahead of MIL! :P

Since tomorrow is getaway day, they won't schedule a DH, will they? Wouldn't this be a game that gets made up at a later date, even if the Cards don't come back to Wrigley?
Given the forecast for tomorrow I'm hoping they'll just try to get the regularly scheduled game in and plan on making this game up at the end of the season if it matters. Z's start will still have been wasted, but at least that would avoid the need for an emergency callup because the other starters would still be on normal rest.

Thanks MLB. That was worth trying to get that game in. Glad we basically wasted Z's turn in the rotation. :x

The field must be unplayable. While Wrigley as is drains well, it isn't up to modern drainage standards, something the Cubs want to address with the planned renovation project.

Definitely not trying to make fun of the situation that caused our first SNB cancellation vs StL, but we need to be scheduled to play someone else on SNB from now on... 2 straight SNB games vs StL that got postponed... somebody is trying tell us something.

Well, at least our bullpen doesn't get overused tonight.
And with just a single game tomorrow there's no need to call up a pitcher for an emergency start.

Question;

Will the game start all over when its played, or pick up where it left off when the rain came tonight?? (Murton on 1st, 1-1 count on Kendall, in the bot 3rd)

About time they called it.

Radar looks ugly. A wave of showers and thunderstorms is moving toward Chicago from northeast Wisconsin. Another line is developing just west of that one.

WOnder how quickly they could build a dome over Wrigley? It's times like this when a roof really comes in handy.
